Workwhile apprenticeships – London

Workwhile Apprenticeships – London is our flagship project. Launched in 2020 as the London Progression Collaboration, we support employers in the capital to create high-quality apprenticeship opportunities for low-paid, disadvantaged and marginalised Londoners.

To date, we have created over 1,500 new apprenticeships, and redistributed over £15 million in unspent apprenticeship levy funds.

SME support

Workwhile offers a practical apprenticeship support service for small and medium sized businesses in Greater London to navigate the apprenticeship journey, from initial interest to finding the right apprenticeship standard, provider selection to funding.

Redistributing unspent levy funds

Workwhile also facilitates Greater London's levy transfer brokerage service, matching large employers with unspent funds with SMEs who need funding support for their apprenticeships. This service ensures unspent levy funds are reaching the businesses and individuals who need them the most, and supports levy payers to deliver social impact through their funds.

Working in partnership

Workwhile works with London boroughs and a wide network of apprenticeship training providers and other partners, who enable us to support as many SMEs as possible.
