Line managers are the cornerstone of successful apprenticeships, with a vital role ensuring apprentices are able to thrive - supporting retention, completion and progression. For younger apprentices, and for those from disadvantaged and marginalised backgrounds, the line managers’ role is even more important.

Yet according to the CIPD, over 80% of managers in the UK are accidental line managers. It’s no wonder a shocking one in three people have left their job because of poor management.
